Boship Farm Hotel

One of the most attractive hotels in East Sussex has turned to Ignite PR & Engagement to raise its profile and involvement with the local community. The popular Boship Farm Hotel, part of the Lion Hotels Group, is situated in 17 acres on the A22 near Hailsham. When it underwent a huge revamp, Ignite was called in to spread the message.

Manas Singh, Group Operations Manager, said: "Peter was an absolute pleasure to work with. We are good at running hotels but we are not experts at PR and community engagement, and that's where Peter's experience made all the difference. We cannot thank him highly enough for that."

The campaign centred on a number of events:

  •  A summer luncheon with 100 guests, including VIPs such as Mayors, MPs and council leaders. The guest list was targeted at key people in the community and future customers.

  • A charity BBQ for the community which attracted more than 400 people on a lovely Sunday afternoon. The outcome was a real 'feel good' feeling about the Boship.

  • Huge publicity in the local print, both online and in print, including The Argus, Sussex Express, Eastbourne Herald and Hailsham Herald.

  • Successful social media campaign to promote the hotel after its successful revamp.

  • Engaging with the town, district and county councils, a wide variety of charities and community organisations.

Ignite's Peter Lindsey said: "It was a pleasure working with staff and management at the Boship, and we continue to do so on a monthly basis."
